The 7th Grade field trip to the Peabody Essex Museum was a huge hit with the students! The current exhibits coordinated well with their studies of Ancient Asian Civilization and they thoroughly enjoyed the visit!
The SHS 6th grade girls' basketball team attended the Andover vs Central Catholic Girls Varsity Basketball game on Tuesday, February 6th. They welcomed the team and then had a great experience playing against St. Michael’s at halftime. Aniela Kwo (Junior) and Shaelagh Green (Senior) are both graduates of Sacred Hearts School! The Central Catholic girls earned a hard fought victory over Andover! It was a fun night for all!
The students were very excited for the 100th day of school today! We celebrated with a no-homework day for grades 1-8! The ECC will celebrate their 100th day on Monday.
The ECC recently had an in-house field trip with Zoo Creatures! The students enjoyed learning about and even touching several snakes, crocodilians, bearded dragons, and more! They had so much fun throughout the presentation.
The students and staff had so much fun at the SHS Catholic Schools Week Pep Rally! Coach Jack coordinated basketball challenges between the classes and the gym was full of school spirit!
The students LOVED wearing their pajamas on Monday! They also had so much fun visiting the Scholastic Book Fair and picking out their treasures! Catholic Schools Week at SHS is always lots of fun!
Congratulations to the SHS cheerleaders for an incredible performance at the Haverhill Cup Showcase this past weekend! The team tied for 3rd place overall! 8th grader Elizabeth Grattan took home 1st place in the jump competition, and 6th grader Neylani Villar was awarded the Jean Ray Spirit Award! Outstanding job! Grade 6 made cute little snowmen out of Hershey's chocolate bars and warm gloves. The food pantry in Amesbury was very happy to have them to hand out during the Christmas season.
Mrs. Daley and Mr. Halaby’s fifth grade classes donated care packages to the Haverhill Police Department as a service project. SHS parent, Detective Connor Clark of the Haverhill PD, accepted the donations on behalf of the department and said that the officers would be very happy to receive them.
Sacred Hearts School held a "Community Reader Day" on Tuesday, December 12th. We hosted Fr John, police officers, local business owners and other community figures. Mayor Fiorentini even stopped by to read to the Kindergartners! The children loved this special day, and we thank everyone who participated!
The ROBOTHINK class was a huge success! 22 students signed up for the class and thoroughly enjoyed making robots and then playing with them! We can’t wait for the spring session!
