Cherishing the Past - Celebrating the Present -
Touching the Future
Touching the Future
In 1998, Sacred Hearts School established an Educational
Endowment Fund to ensure that the school would maintain
its preeminence amongst other private educational institutions
- thus securing its future.
Interest from this fund will provide a significant income
to the school to offset escalating expenses and to allow
tuition to remain affordable.
The endowment is governed by an Endowment Committee with
the assistance of financial and legal professionals.
How Do I Donate?
Parishioners who support the local parish school are
doing what Jesus asked to teach all nations. Individuals
or families interested in supporting the endowment fund
may make a monetary donation in their own name, or in
the name of a loved one.
Donations can also be made through planned-gift opportunities,
including a bequest provision in wills, life insurance
agreements, a charitable trust and other avenues of deferred
giving.
History of Sacred Hearts School
Sacred Hearts School was founded by the Sisters of Saint
Joseph in 1938, with the opening of the first and second
grades. The Class of 1945 was the first graduating class.
As the school populations grew, it was clear that the
facility needed to expand as well. During the school year
1959-60, eight classrooms, a cafeteria, and a gymnasium/auditorium
were added.
With the rising cost of education in the early 1970's,
Sacred Hearts School was forced to cut back to its original
number of eight classrooms. In 1979, a Kindergarten was
opened to reach out to another segment of the parish community.
In 1992, The Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
known as the Good Shepard Sisters, joined the parish community.
Continuous facility enhancements include smart classrooms,
a full science laboratory, computer classroom, art room,
library and media center.
Today, more than 300 students are receiving a quality
Catholic education at Sacred Hearts School. Contact the
