We appreciate the support of the entire community with on-going fundraising efforts such as Boxtops for Education, the Scrip Program, Papa Gino's nights, the Target school support program, and the online GoodSearch and GoodShop initiatives.

What is Scrip?
Scrip Order Form
Scrip is a term that means "substitute money." The Scrip Program allows Sacred Hearts School supporters to purchase pre-paid gifts cards from their favorite retailers for everyday purchases like food, clothing, gas, and entertainment. A percentage of each dollar spent is paid back to the school. Families receive monthly backpack order forms - it's an easy way to support our school without spending any extra dollars.

Simply purchase cards to use in place of cash for items you would normally invest in….clothing, meals, trips, the list of Scrip retailers is extensive. Need School Uniforms? Lands Ends is a Scrip retailer! Taking the kids to the movies this summer? Loew's/AMC is a Scrip Retailer!

Of course, they are also good to purchase for use as gift cards and the gift cards you receive are the same as those you'd purchase directly from the store. Dunkin Donuts, Panera Bread, Walmart, Borders…all are Scrip retailers. Participate in the Scrip program to support our school and also show your support for retailers who give back to the communities they serve.

You can learn more aboutScrip at: http://www.glscrip.com. Or, if you have specific questions about the Sacred Hearts Scrip Program, please contact Michelle Draper.
The Scrip Program has raised about $400 in just 6 months, all directly to our school!

Who Do You GoodSearch For?

Sacred Hearts School has been registered on GoodSearch, the search engine (powered by Yahoo!) with a unique social mission. They donate 50% of advertising revenue to selected nonprofits and schools, which works out to about a penny a search. For a school our size, we can anticipate making $2500/year from this.
It's easy to see how much money the school is earning - just click the yellow "Amount raised" button below the "Who Do You GoodSearch For?" box. There are several ways you can use GoodSearch to support us. You can
1. go to www.goodsearch.com and, in the "Who Do You GoodSearch For?" box, enter: Sacred Hearts School.
2. you can make GoodSearch your homepage when you open your browser and enter our school as your charity (see above) - click on the "Help Spread the Word" button at the bottom, go to "Homepage", and follow the instructions for your browser.
3. you can download the GoodSearch toolbar to your browser and set the school as your automatic charity - click on the "Help Spread the Word" button at the bottom, go to "Toolbar", and follow that to instructions for your browser.

The money earned through your GoodSearching will go directly to improving school technology for all students through new hardware and software purchases that will enhance curriculum and learning.

In addition, GoodShop.com is the associated online shopping mall which donates a percentage of each purchase to our school. More than 100 great stores including The Gap, Best Buy, and Barnes and Nobel have teamed up with GoodSearch; every time you place an order, you'll be supporting the school. The amount donated is different for each retailer but it averages approximately 3% of the total sale and can go up to 20% and beyond (the percentage donated is indicated below the merchants logo).

You just need to enter Sacred Hearts School as your charity of choice! Thank you so much for your support of the school, and thank you for considering using GoodSearch and GoodShop. If you have any questions about this initiative, please contact Linda Sivak, Technology Director.

"Sacred Hearts School teaches us how to build a strong character and develop moral strength. We learn self-discipline and the importance of a good reputation in our Religion classes. Knowing that God loves all of us gives me the confidence to be myself."-Alexandra, Grade 4.
