Types of Programs

The Center is open from 7:40AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.
We operate on a school calendar year and offer a variety of programs for children ranging in age from 3 years through Grade 2.

Nursery 1

Age: 2.9 by August 31st and toilet trained
Time: 8:45AM to 11:45AM
Days: 2 days/week (Wednesday/Friday)
Emphasis: social/emotional skills, cognitive awareness, early self-help skills, creative play.

Nursery 2

Age 3 by August 31st
Time: 8:45AM to 11:45AM
Days: 2 days/week (Tuesday/Thursday)
Emphasis: social/emotional skills, cognitive awareness, self-help skills, creative play.
3rd Day Option: - Friday Enhancement

Two Day PreK1 Class

Age: 3.10 to 4 by August 31st
Time: 8:45AM to 11:45AM (3 hours/day)

Days: 2 days/week (Wednesday/Friday)
Emphasis: continued focus on social/emotional and self-help skills, hands-on learning experiences which encourage development of fine motor skills as well as early literacy and critical thinking.

Monday "Skills" Day

3rd day option - 2-Day PreK students
Time: 8:45AM to 11:45AM (3 hours/day)
This class will provide each child with an additional opportunity to explore, review and "enhance" various aspects of the 2 Day PreK curriculum. Additional emphasis will be placed on classroom management.

3-Day PreK2 Class

Age: 4 by August 31st
Time: 8:30AM - 12:00 (3.5 hours/day)

Days: 3/week (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday)

Social/emotional and self-help skills are combined with more in-depth "hands-on" learning experiences in fine motor and gross motor activities, as well as math, science, and literacy skills.

4th Day Option - Friday Enhancement

Friday Enhancement

Open to students in Nursery2; 3 Day PreK and Enrichment.
Time: 8:30AM to 11:30AM (3hours/day)

Weekly or bi-monthly enrollment. An opportunity for students to come together in a mixed age group setting to review some of the skills, concepts and activities experienced in their classes earlier in the week. This class will allow students to experience activities on a variety of levels, and to develop additional friendships and social opportunities.

Enrichment Program

(Advanced Pre-Kindergarten)

Age: 4.8 by August 31st

Time: 8:30AM to 12:00 (3.5hours/day)

Days: 4 days/week Monday-Thursday

Provides each child with a more in-depth overview of all the skills introduced in the Pre-K1 and PreK2 programs. Students are given the opportunity to more independently balance "structured" activity time and "free choice" time.
